Ynysowen Community Primary School

Pupil Voice

At Ynysowen Primary School we believe that all children have the right to be safe, happy and healthy and to develop their skills and potential through education. To show we are serious, we have signed up to something called the United National Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). One of these rights ("Article 12") says that children and young people should have a say when people are making decisions that affect them. We call this “pupil voice”.

To ensure that all children have the opportunity to share their views about the decisions that affect them in school, we have set up different “pupil voice” teams. These are all supported by the School Council. If you would like any further information about pupil voice in the school, please contact Mrs Davies who co-ordinates the school council.
